Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project of the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 10 March 1988. Lancaster talks of her early life in Massillon, Ohio, her family life, and religious experiences. She tells of her conversion to the Mormon Church, her courtship, marriage, and relationship with her husband's children from a previous marriage. She comments on her experiences as a black Mormon.
